Bible Study
If you want to meet with God let us give you a simple way. It is called the SOAP method of journaling your devotional thoughts. Grab a notebook, get a journal, or open a document on your computer and use the following:
Scripture - Turn to the Bible reading for the prescribed day. Ask God to speak to you from His Word and write out a verse that particularly speaks to you.
Observation - What do you think God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you. Write out anything you notice or possibly have questions on.
Application - Personalize what you have read, by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, revelation or correction particular area of your life. Write how this scripture can apply to you today.
Prayer - Prayer is talking to and listening to God. Write out whatever your response to God maybe or how God spoke to you.
